I recently had a rather stressful week, so I cleared my diary and took a long bike ride. Riding my bike helps me unwind, so I took a train to Reading and cycled back to Deepcut.
Before I set off, I plotted a route in my Komoot app, which took in a mixture of on and off-road.
It was such a nice ride; I just took my time and took in the sights.
The on-road elements had some excellent cycling infrastructure, and while not all were fully connected, where there was no cycling lane, for the most part, it was clear that cyclists are actively encouraged to ride on the pavement.
The final part of the ride was the mega off-road element through Swinley Forest, where the title image of this blog was taken.

The ride had the desired result because I was suitably de-stressed.
